Twin centres: the two sides to your holiday story
If you love colour, contrast and the chance to move at your own pace, a bespoke, twin-centre approach gives you the flexibility to do holidays your way.
Weave two destinations into your time away and you set the pace. Start slow on white sands and then bring in beach bars, restaurants and buzzing town squares or dip into some ancient history and create the balance you’re looking for.
We’ve chosen a few of our favourites duos to inspire you, but if you’ve got your own ideas, just get in touch and we’ll do what we can to help you make them happen.
COTE D’AZUR TO CORSICA
Elegantly cultural, beautifully contemporary.
A hotel and villa combination – a couple’s choice, with added family.
Near the art galleries and museums of Mougins, you’ll find Le Mas Candille (above left) set in eight acres of Provencal parkland. This secluded 18th-century hotel hideaway has a spa, tennis and cookery classes and golf courses nearby, or you can explore shops, bars, beaches and restaurants of the iconic French Riviera. We suggest three nights here, but as a couple’s retreat or holiday for older families, it may well seduce you into staying longer.
One of Corsica’s new generation of shiny new properties, Villa Santa Giulia (above right) in the south of the island takes innovative design up a level with glass walls that slide back to open out your living room into outside space. You gain the breeze and views down through tree-covered hills to the sea beyond. It’s just ten minutes from the boutiques, winding streets, bars and fantastic food of Porto Vecchio and you’ve got room for the family to join you. If you want them to.
MALLORCA TO IBIZA
Sophisticated country to fashionable about town.
Six bedrooms apiece, with room enough for everyone.
Rustic it may be, but Villa Dominic (above left) is far from out of touch. Its heritage gives it an easy elegance and it’s also behind the Port Adriano marina, one of Mallorca’s new places to be seen. In spite of this, privacy and space are yours to enjoy and the island’s reputation as a family-friendly destination are borne out here too. You have a games’ room and Port Adriana Beach is a five-minute drive away.
Can Colina (above right) is tucked away in a pine forest but there’s nothing rustic about it. Contemporary Scandinavian design has smoothed over the original finca style. There’s a shady chill-out space and you’re just ten minutes from the delights of Ibiza Town and its nightlife of street artists, live music, clubs and pavement dining – or try the gentler pace of Santa Gertrudis, with its galleries, antique shops and the cafes and bars around the central, pedestrianised Plaça de l’Església.
